Peter Bittner played football for Williamsville North High School where he lettered twice and was captain his senior year. Also during his senior year, Peter Bittner had 89 tackles and four sacks. Peter Bittner was named first-team All-Western New York selection and earned the Jim Burt Award as the best defensive lineman in Western New York.

In 2006, Peter Bittner was a redshirted freshman on the Buffalo Bulls football roster. In 2007, Peter Bittner started all 12 games during the Buffalo Bulls football season. The 6’4” 301 lbs offensive lineman helped pave the way for the Buffalo Bulls offense that scored a Division I-A-record 291 points.
