Gerald Jackson was born on October 31, 1984 and grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. He attended DeMatha Catholic High School and graduated in 2005 after a successful athletic career in football.

In 2005, Gerald Jackson played in 10 games and started 8 as a freshman as a defensive back. In 2006, Jackson spent the season working with scout teams rather than competing.

In 2007, Gerald Jackson made the switch from defensive back to wide receiver. He did not see much play time, however.
