- The University at Buffalo football arena is known as the UB Stadium and is located in Amherst, New York. After opening in September 1993, the UB Stadium was expanded to now hold 29,000 fans.
Ground broke for the UB Stadium in 1991 and it was the final step in the school's mission of becoming a Division I facility and school. Previously, the Buffalo Bulls played in the Walter Kunz Stadium which held just 4,000 people. Clearly, a new stadium was needed to bring the Buffalo Bulls football team into competetive DI play. After completing the stadium and building the football program, the University at Buffalo achieved its goal and was officially declared a Division I school in 1999.
The UB Stadium is surrounded by a track for home track and field meets. Large bleachers surround the stadium and 4 light towers provide lighting during late-night Buffalo Bulls football games. The UB Stadium hosts many football games and other events throughout the year. To purchase your UB Stadium tickets, follow the "Buy Tickets" links on this page.
